It has been 20 years since I began my adventure into the world of organic skin care. My journey began in 1994 when my 2-year-old daughter, Sandra, was suffering with eczema and skin allergies. Sandra reacted to everything, even 'natural' products and I soon discovered that so-called 'natural' skin care products could contain up to 99.9% synthetic ingredients.

With a background as a nurse, knowledge of natural medicine and nutrition and more than 11 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I set out to find the answer. This inspired me to create pure, organic products and in 1997 Green People was born. Eager to set real standards that consumers could trust, equal to those for the food industry, I approached the Soil Association and in 1999 I was invited to help develop the world's first standards for organic cosmetics.

At Green People we are proud to be one of the true pioneers of certified organic beauty products, championing the cause long before organic beauty became mainstream. Today we offer over 100 certified organic products in our range that includes skin, hair, sun and dental care, plus products for babies, children, teen, men and women of all ages.
