BEIRABAGA is a Portuguese company founded in 1991, dedicated to the production of small fruits (raspberries, blackberries and blueberries), initially in the region of Fundão, an area known for its appropriate characteristics to the production of high quality fruit and more recently also in the zone of Algarve, where the climate allows to maintain the production of these fruits in the coldest months of the winter.

At the beginning of the 90s, when BEIRABAGA began its activity, the production of berry fruit was a practically non-existent market in Portugal, as well as its consumption, being therefore the foreign market the destination of almost all production. Our fruit quickly received notoriety and acceptance in Europe, due not only to its quality of excellence, but also because we managed to put it on the market in a time when it was scarce, sometimes non-existent.

Over the years, BEIRABAGA has also been growing in the national market, where it has been building its brand and developing a work with the country's main retailers in order to stimulate the national consumption of these fruits. As a result, today we assume ourselves to be a brand recognized by national consumers.

In 2010 the company started to invest in new farms in Algarve, in order to benefit from a unique climate in Europe that allowed it to close the production of raspberries and blackberries 12 months a year. The company has been betting on sustained growth, which allows it to cope with the increased consumption of these products, while never losing focus on its priority: The exceptional quality of its fruit. And for that, the company is constantly testing new varieties and new production methods.
